| Cristina & Alexi Terentieva Cristina Terentieva was awarded the Gold Medal in 2008 at the 23rd International Ballet Competition in Varna for her performance in Lullaby choreographed especially for her and her husband Alexei by Radu Poklitaru. In 2007 she won the Grand Prix at the IBC in Vienna. Ms Terentieva has studied extensively , earning diplomas from the Choreographic School of Chisinau, the Minkus Association, and the international Diaghilev society. As a principal dancer with the Moldovian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Ms. Terentieva has starred in Swan lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Don Quixote and many others. In May 2009 she will star in the Nureyev International Ballet Festival in Kazan, Russia.
Alexei Terentiev was born in 1976 in Moldova. He began studying at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy at the age of 10. He continued training at the Moldavian State Choreographical School and graduated in 1993. He became a principal dancer at the Moldavian National Opera and Ballet Theater and performed principal roles in GrigorovichĂs Nutcracker as well as Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Chopiniana, Paquita, and Coppelia. He won first place at the Danovsky Ballet Competition in Rumania and received an award from the Diagilev Center. In 2008 he and his wife Cristina Terentieva performed Lullaby, a contemporary duet choreographed by Radu Poklitaru at the 23rd International Ballet Competition in Varna for which Alexei won the award for Best Partner and Cristina the Gold Medal.
| | Akzhol Mussakhanov & Ekaterina Bortyakova Born in Kazan, Russia, Ekaterina Bortyakova graduated from the State Choreographic School of Kazan, Russia, in 1998. She has been a soloist the at State Opera and Ballet Theatre of Tatarstan, in Kazan; principal ballet dancer at Swansea Ballet Russe, in Swansea, Wales, UK; and currently on tour with Moscow Ballet. Her lead roles include "Giselle," "Cinderella," "Snow White and Seven Dwarfs" and "Sleeping Beauty." Bortyakova has won numerous prizes, including the Vaganova Prize (1998) and Prize for Artistic Inspiration at the International Kazan Ballet Competition (2001) and "Best Couple Prize" at the International Ballet Competition "Arabesque" in Perm (2002). She has participated in many international festivals, and has toured in the U.S., Holland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland and Norway.
A native of Kazakhstan, Akzhol Mussakhanov is a 2001 graduate of the State Choreographic School of Kazakhstan. He has danced for the State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Odessa, Ukraine, and has been a soloist at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of Tatarstan in Kazan, Russia. Currently on tour with Moscow Ballet, he also is principal ballet dancer at Swansea Ballet Russe in Wales, UK. His lead roles include "Nutcracker," "SwanLake," "Cinderella," "Sleeping Beauty" and "Snow White and Seven Dwarfs." Mussakhanov has competed at the IX International Ballet Competition in Moscow (2001) and the Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition in Kiev (2004), and participated in the Festival of Independence of Kazakhstan, Kzakhstan (2006). He has toured the U.S., Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Canada, France, Holland, Greece, Norway and Denmark.
