Principal Danseur Shota Onodera

Shota Onodera in Moscow Ballet's French VariationShota Onodera performs the role of Nutcracker Prince in Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker. Onodera is an award winner performer receiving Silver Award at the Mongolian International Ballet Competition in 2018 in Arabesque. He also received Silver Diploma at the Grand Prix Competition of Siberia in 2018, and the Bronze Award at the Grand Prix Ballet Competition of Sochi 2019.

Onodera graduated from Perm State Choreographic College in 2011 in the class of teacher Yuri Sidorov. Perm State is considered the third finest ballet academy in world, after the Bolshoi and Mariinsky academies. Upon graduation Onodera was immediately accepted into the ballet company of the Opera and Ballet Theater of the Udmurt Republic. Prior to this he performed with the National Bashkir State  Opera and Ballet Theater. Onodera’s repertoire includes dancing Basil in DonShota Onodera as the Nutcracker Prince in Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker Quixote; Prince Siegfried and the Buffoon in Swan Lake; Pas de Pas in Giselle; Prince Desiree and the Blue Bird in Sleeping Beauty; and Cipollino in Cipollino.
