Oklahoma City Partner Ballet Studio: Julia’s Dance Academy

Nutcracker wouldn’t be Nutcracker without the local Children’s cast! Dancing along side the full professional Russian cast are local Oklahoma City children from Julia’s Dance Academy. Julia’s Dance Academy is a family-friendly dance studio in Norman, Oklahoma that was founded in 2009 by Peter and Yulia Zhmutski.The studio is a predominately Classical Ballet school but also offers hip-hop, contemporary, ballroom, tap and jazz classes.At Julia’s Dance Academy all children will practice the fundamentals correctly, avoiding unnecessary injuries and traumas; learn correct terminology for all of the movements and techniques; acquire the true essence of being a dancer, including the ethics and aesthetics; become a highly disciplined artist; showcase their talent and skills mastered at Julia’s and be a part of professional performing arts productions and can advance to certification level awarded by industry recognized dance professionals. This certification provides children entrance into advanced levels of training or performing.
