The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center In El Paso
Welcome to the home of NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet in El Paso: The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center! The Plaza opened in 1930 as both a modern film house and a stage production venue. Commonly referred to as “The Showplace of the Southwest,” the Plaza was once the largest theater between Dallas and Los Angeles. It boasts elaborate architecture and decor, and has hosted concerts, stage shows, and movies.

El Paso Partner Ballet Studios: British Ballet Academy and For the Love of Dance
Nutcracker wouldn’t be Nutcracker without the local Children’s cast! Dancing along side the full international professional cast are local El Paso children.
British Ballet Academy has proudly been instructing El Paso dance students for over 40 years. They currently mentor over 350 families from El Paso, Fort Bliss and the surrounding area. The studio offers classes in jazz, tap, and ballet for all skill levels and ages. Director and Choreographer for Ballet, Kirsty O-Connell, has been a faculty member of British Ballet Academy for 30 years. She is an associate member of the National Dance Association and International Tap Association, as well as a former winner of the Senior Texas Division Winner Jazz Competition.
For the Love of Dance is passionate about the art of dance. Although specialized in classical ballet, they also offer classes to other forms of expressions. The school strives to provide a place of growth and learning and instill students with self-discipline, commitment, and confidence. Curriculum combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development and consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to the dance students of all ages and skill levels.
