Nutcracker wouldn’t be Nutcracker without the local Children’s cast! Dancing along side the full international professional cast are local Knoxville children from Angela Floyd School for Dance and Music. Since 1997 over 7100 families have chosen Angela Floyd School for Dance and Music for their Performing Arts programs.  Angela Floyd Schools is under the direction of Angela Floyd, former principle dancer with Knoxville Ballet Company. She is a Knoxville native and graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. The school is home of the award-winning Angela Floyd Dance Company and, for years, has been voted “The Best of Knoxville” in the Dance Company category. This beautiful state of the art facility houses two studios. Each studio is equipped with professional ballet barres, wall to wall mirrors, and floating Marley dance floors. For the comfort of the dancers, the studio also features a private dressing area with enclosed restrooms, a complimentary coffee/tea bar and monitors in the lobby for parents to watch classes and rehearsals.  In addition, office staff are on site during all class times and available to help parents with anything from scheduling to purchasing tights and shoes.
