Rustem Imangaliyev premieres in the U.S. on the 2015 Moscow Ballet tour to 80 cities as Principal Danseur. Imangaliyev is a highly awarded danseur. He received an Honorary Mention Award from the International Ballet Competition in Korea; an Honorary Award at the Asylmuratova International Ballet Competition in Kazakhstan. Altynai Abduahimovna Asylmuratova is a former Kazakhstan-Russian Prima Ballerina with the Kirov Ballet/Mariinsky Theatre. He partnered Ekaterina Maximova and won Best Arabesque at the Perm International Ballet Competition in Russia and he was bestowed with Special Prize and Diploma at the Nataliya Dudinskaya IBC in Kharkov, and received an Honorary Award at the Astana Shabyt Competition.
Rustem was accepted to study at the Almaty Choreographic School AV Sleznev under teacher Sultan Kosmanov in 2000 completing the ten year education program in just eight years. Upon graduation he was invited to join the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Almaty. Rustem’s repertoire includes leading roles in the ballet classics and more: Romeo and Juliet as Mercutio, Swan Lake as Jester and pas de troix, Nutcracker Prince, Giselle, Don Quixote Pas De Deux as Basil, Le Corsaire Pas de Deux as Ali, and La Bayadère Golden Idol
