Welcome to the home of NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet in Seattle, The Paramount Theatre. Seattle’s Paramount Theatre has enjoyed a long and storied history beginning with its grand opening as the Seattle Theatre in March of 1928. Residents and visitors alike have been entertained at the magnificent theatre and millions have delighted in the theatre’s architectural majesty, viewed countless films, and enjoyed thousands of performers from all corners of the globe.

The Paramount is a thriving landmark theatre. An annual season of KeyBank Broadway at The Paramount season accompanies a performance series of dance, jazz, live concerts, speakers, comedy, special events, and family shows. A Theatre Access Program grants tickets to individuals and organizations without the means to attend theatre, and robust Education and Community Programs provide vital professional arts interactions for young and emerging artists.

Seattle Partner Ballet Studio: American Dance Institute

Nutcracker wouldn’t be Nutcracker without the local Children’s cast! Dancing along side the full professional Russian cast are local Seattle children from the American Dance Institute. At American Dance Institute (ADI) students and parents alike will feel welcome as soon as they walk in the door. Their teachers welcome and support the students and the students also support and welcome one another. No competition, just encouragement. They teach students to compete with their ‘best self’ rather than against others who may have more or less natural ability. Their methods foster inclusiveness and camaraderie, so students willingly try new steps, leaps and lessons without fear of criticism, ridicule and snickering. At ADI, one finds an authentic, welcoming, nurturing studio and school environment; kind, gentle and patient teachers who have the rare “teaching gift,” and consistent quality instruction focused on each student every class. Ask any studio students or parents and they will respond that every child always feels welcome, accepted, appreciated and loved – no exceptions.
