Welcome to the home of NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet in Idaho Falls, Colonial Theater, which has been fully refurbished for modern stage and film presentations. The lobby and the theater have retained historic art deco details like the black and white tile, elaborate crown molding, and the swooping proscenium ornamentation. The building dates back to 1994 when a local businessman donated three adjacent dilapidated downtown buildings to the newly formed Idaho Falls Arts Council (IFAC). It raised over $4.5 million to renovate these buildings to become the Willard Arts Center, which currently encompasses the historic Colonial Theater, two visual art galleries, nine artist studios, meeting rooms, and administrative offices. 

Nutcracker wouldn’t be Nutcracker without the local Children’s cast! Dancing along side the full professional International cast are local Idaho Falls children from Dance Tech Academy. Dance Tech Academy (DTA) has been a premier dance school serving the Idaho Falls, ID area for over 30 years. DTA specializes in various styles of dance instruction including ballet/pointe, modern, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, tap, aerial and fitness classes. Students at DTA range from ages 2 to adult, and instruction is offered for beginning through advanced level dancers. Dance Tech Academy is located in a beautiful facility with four large studio spaces. DTA instructors are highly qualified and have received training from University programs and dance companies all over the U.S. Dance Tech Academy focuses on giving its students a multi-genre dance education and their mission is to provide quality dance training in a safe and positive environment.
