Open to ballet students ages 8-20 years, Moscow Ballet Summer Intensives offer technique classes and special programming by level for Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced dancers.

Taking a Moscow Ballet Summer Intensive is a wonderful opportunity for young dancers to pre-professionals to study Russian ballet technique, character dance, classic ballet repertory, and MORE with Moscow Ballet Soloists and Audition Directors Yuriy Kuzo and Alisa Bolotnikova, beloved by teachers and students who have participated in Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker.

This comprehensive program provides a positive and supportive environment and presents student dancers the opportunity to develop their technical and artistic skills. (Classes are subject to change)

Host Studio: Ballet North

Every June, Ballet North presents a major ballet performance or festival in which all students of the school are invited to participate along with the company.  These exciting performance events are always built around a classic ballet such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Coppelia, La Fille Mal Gardee, or pieces from the extensive repertoire of Ballet North. Laura Reinschmidt founded Ballet North first as a school in 1977 and later as a non-profit company in 1994. The studio presents their students in a dignified manner that approaches, as closely as possible, a professional level of training and performance.  Ballet North’s unique approach allows young adults to explore principal and soloist roles in full-length ballets – roles normally reserved for professional dancers only. Ms. Reinschmidt feels that exposure to that kind of experience onstage is critical to anyone who wishes to dance professionally. Rather than appearing in minor children’s roles, Ballet North dancers are given the opportunity and responsibility of bringing a role to life. Graduates of Ballet North have danced with San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Illinois Ballet, Minnesota Ballet and Kansas City Ballet.
