Moscow Ballet brings the Gift of Christmas Tour to McAllen with Great Russian Nutcracker performances bringing holiday magic to life and creating unforgettable memories for all ages. The company performs at the McAllen Performing Arts Center on Sunday, December 29 at 5:00pm only. 

Moscow Ballet makes Christmas gift giving easy with the holiday performance that delights all ages…from the life-sized Kissy Doll to the fierce, red-eyed Rat King; and the Russian Troika Sleigh bringing Masha through the Snow Forest to the Land of Peace and Harmony which is populated with 10 foot tall dancing puppets, exotic flying birds and dancing couples from the world’s five great heritages. 

About Host Studio: Deborah Case Dance Academy

Deborah Case Dance Academy provides safe, sound training that protects the development of the student. Dancers train in Vaganova Russian technique to ensure performance success. They teach dancers physical, intellectual and emotional lifetime skills, and good health habits. Their dancers excel in life beyond the studio. Deborah is recognized by Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as a Woman of Distinction in Arts and Entertainment; and McAllen Chamber of Commerce's Top 5 Business Award. Deborah received a Russian State Certificate of Vaganova Syllabus teacher training from Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Moscow, Russia. DCDA has a strong track record of placing dancers in dance industries top dance programs, university scholarships and professional dance companies.

About the McAllen Performing Arts Center

Opening in the fall of 2016, the new McAllen Performing Arts Center will present a wide variety of nationally recognized productions of music, dance and theater to the citizens of South Texas.  The City of McAllen is committed to enhancing the arts and cultural experience by delivering the most advanced performing arts center south of San Antonio by bringing a broader variety of entertainment and live performance that has never been possible before in South Texas. The new center will feature adjustable acoustics to accommodate all genres of music from popular to symphonic orchestra; a four-story tower, with roof top terrace and VIP Lounge, all overlooking Oval Park and the McAllen Convention Center and monumental stairs with views to the outside; surrounding shopping, restaurants and hotels.
