About Host Studio: Naples Academy of Ballet

The Naples Academy of Ballet’s curriculum is directed at building the student’s strength, focus, creativity and love for dance by exploring and expanding their talents in order to develop physical, social and intellectual skills in the art of dance.

The school provides students with the traditions and discipline of the well-founded Russian Vaganova style of ballet, and offers professional dance instruction for all ages, regardless of whether a student’s goal is a career in dance or is purely recreational. A recreational dancer can gain discipline and self- confidence through the physical and mental accomplishments that come from positive dance instruction. The school’s professional instructors provide the more serious student with knowledge and preparation necessary for a career in dance. Ballet is a science of the body and an art of the mind. Training with the academy embraces the development of the dancer’s potential from the first day of class.

About Philharmonic Center at Artis—Naples

The Naples Philharmonic was founded in 1982 and in its first season performed four concerts as a chamber orchestra. Since then, the ensemble has grown in scope, size and artistic impact and now performs over 140 orchestral and chamber concerts, as well as opera and ballet, education, community and special event concerts between September through June each year. In 2014-15, Artis—Naples welcomed internationally renowned conductor Andrey Boreyko to his first season as the Naples Philharmonic Music Director. In 2009, Jack Everly was named Principal Pops Conductor and continues today in that role. In 2018-19, the Naples Philharmonic welcomes a host of internationally recognized guest artists, including organist Cameron Carpenter, mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, violinist Gil Shaham and twin pianists Christina and Michelle Naughton, among others.
