The Early Years
Viktor began his ballet training at age 5 at the Kharkiv Choreographic School in Ukraine where his talent was immediately recognized. He was performing by age 7 and at 13 danced the leading role in “Cippolini” at the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. He graduated at 15 and was accepted as a sophomore at the Belarus State Choreographic Institute in Minsk. During this time, he toured Japan and Spain and won awards at the Serge Lifar (2006) and Yuri Grigirovich International Ballet Competitions.
After college he was invited to join the Grand Opera House in Poznan. He danced solo and principal roles including the Prince in Nutcracker, James in La Sylphide, Beno in Swan Lake, and a wide range of contemporary repertory by Balanchine, Rudi van Danzig among many others. He also worked as a choreographer and assistant to the director. This position gave him a wide range of experience and opportunities to create his own works. Beyond the stage, Viktor’s dedication extends to nurturing future generations of dancers.
